Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is the most Southern town on Lanzarote and is the third largest resort. It is a sophisticated, beautiful town suitable for all ages. The promenade is approximately 9km long, has a wide range of shops selling anything you may need or want and bars and restaurants offering local and International cuisine, catering to all budgets and taste buds.
Playa Blanca boasts one of the most beautiful beaches on the island- Papagayo beach. Papagayo beaches are a National Park and can be accessed by car via a dirt track, by water taxi from the harbour or by foot.
There are a further three beaches in Playa Blanca:
Rubicon Marina is approximately a 20 minute walk along the promenade from the centre of town. It is a stylish, modern development with shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants most of which overlook the beautiful marina. There is a market held here twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) selling local arts and crafts and gifts.
There is a bus station right next to Las Brisas where you can get the bus to all parts of the island and is a lot cheaper than getting a taxi.
