Lanzarote is the fourth largest island of the Canaries, boasts natural beauty and is known for its perfect climate of year round sunshine and warm temperatures. Eruptions from the volcanos on the island have shaped the volcanic landscape, making parts of the island sparse and vast. The island has everything you need for a complete relax or for those who wish to be more active whilst on holiday.
One particular volcanic eruption in the 1700’s created one of the island’s main attractions – Timanfaya National Park. It is located in the South Western part of the island and is definitely worth a visit!
